Primary Features
Enter New Records from Anywhere at Anytime...
Users can enter or edit records from any computer with Intranet, or via Internet access, if required. They can even print barcode labels and any of your custom-tailored reports directly from within WebView™.
Add and Upload Electronic Documents
Customers who have purchased the optional eDocs Module can allow remote users to not only view electronic documents, but add, upload and attach electronic documents as well. (The option to apply upload restrictions as to file type and file size can be set up.) This allows all pertinent and required documentation of a given business process to be collected, managed and shared closer to real time. As a result, all knowledge workers have faster access to the information they need to make faster and more informed decisions.
View and Request Records
New and improved viewing and requesting capabilities. WebView™ users can now more easily search for records (or groups of records) and then submit requests for required files, reducing all the phone calls and wasted trips to the file room for files that may not be available. For example: Search by date, name(s), file type, location, unique ID or from any field you want to quickly and easily find what you need, when you need it.
Day and Night Views
This new skinning mechanism provides the control for each user to apply the theme that best fits their needs for day (bright lit) and nighttime (low lit) environments. These are user specific and can be set based on individuals needs and preference.
- Auto: setting automatically adjusts based in time of day and is configured by an administrator.
- Dark (Night): is designed for viewing WebView in dark environments such as vehicles at night or any dimly lit environment.
- Bright (Day): is a brighter option that is designed to have good contrast and eye comfort in bright and normal office environments.
Standard Features
New File Creation: Create new file records from any computer with Intranet, or even Internet access, if required.
Worklist: Maintain and save a record of all records that you are working on. You can easily log out and pick up where you left off at any time.
For Example: Crime scenes and search warrants are often long and hectic. Evidence is collected during a long period of time and in many places. WebView 6 maintains a work list of all the evidence you have entered, allowing you to start and stop at any time without losing work. You can even shut down your computer and move to a new location.
Label Printing: Print customizable black-n-white barcode labels with text to any Windows-compatible printer. These labels can be printed in roll-fed or Avery label formats.
Report Printing: Print any of your custom-tailored reports directly from within WebView™.
Microsoft Standards/Technologies: Internet/Intranet solution that runs on Microsoft Internet Information Server and Internet Explorer 6.x browser or higher.
User Personalization: WebView offers many personalization features that allow the user to tailor the look and behavior of the application to their liking. Among them are account information including the password, default Home page, default Search page, default Request page, the number of records to return during a search, and preferred color scheme.
Security: Only users who have been given an account by a System Administrator will have access to the data. User accounts can be set up in advance through the desktop client, or a user can use WebView™ to request an account. No request will be active until the System Administrator has reviewed the request and either granted or denied access.
