WebView Client

Overview

Our WebView product provides a cost-effective and zero-deployment-effort answer to distributed/remote environments. It provides secure access to the information repository to remote offices, traveling sales staff, and/or mobile wireless applications such as police officers on the road. WebView is an Internet/Intranet solution that runs on Microsoft Internet Information Server and Internet Explorer 5.x browser. Casual and remote users can now search, view and request records using their browser. They can view both records and documents - including their electronic content - from within their browser. In addition, remote users are able to upload and attach electronic documents right from their browser using their secure Internet connection. WebView allows organizations to deploy FileOnQ's solution to large numbers of users quickly, cost effectively and with virtually no deployment cost or effort.

User Personalization

WebView offers many personalization features that allow the user to tailor the look and behavior of the application to their liking. Among them are account information including the password, default Home page, default Search page, default Request page, the number of records to return during a search, and preferred color scheme.

Security

Only users who have been given an account by a System Administrator will have access to the data. User accounts can be set up in advance through the desktop client, or a user can use WebView to request an account. No request will be active until the System Administrator has reviewed the request and either granted or denied access.
