Overview

FileOnQ™ manages records, boxes, documents and locations using barcodes. Barcodes provide quick, key-less, and error-free retrieval and transfer capability to the user. They also enable our Document Imaging module to automatically index and store scanned documents. Our solution supports both attached and portable barcode scanners to make data management more efficient and accurate.

FileOnQ™ / Platform Solutions are designed to manage the physical location of all records, items and even people by checking them in or out, scanning their status, or transferring them from one location to another. A location can be a place, such as the central file room; a person, such as a manager; or a box (which is also transferable).

Intelligence Built In

FileOnQ™ can scan an item/document barcode and the system will automatically "find and retrieve" that item without having to touch the keyboard. You don't have to put the software in a "scanning mode" or put focus on the barcode field. Other systems that we looked at require some combination of scanning and keyboard entry. In fact, the "intelligence" that FileOnQ™ has in their barcode technology automatically recognizes what type of barcode has been scanned (item, box or location). This allows you to automatically initiate a number of transferring routines, based on which type of barcode you scan first. This is a huge benefit as an organization looks to increase productivity and provide effective tools for staff.

Barcode Label Design

Some of the systems on the market provide preprinted or set barcode label designs. However, FileOnQ™ is the only system that provides a flexible label design module right in the system itself. We can easily design labels for different purposes such as for evidence items, boxes, containers, document types, people, shelf locations and MUCH MORE. Designs can include barcodes, numbers and text. Information can be auto filled onto the label right from the application, saving a tremendous amount of time and making it easier to manage property and evidence. This allows complete control over what is on the labels, how they are laid out, the label size, etc. This also means that our customers are not tied to any one vendor for the purchase of labels.
